NorFalco is a company built from the combined histories of Noranda Inc., Falconbridge Limited and Xstrata. In 2005 NorFalco's parent company Noranda amalgamated with Falconbridge under the Falconbridge banner. In 2006 Falconbridge was acquired by Xstrata to form one of the world's largest mining and metals companies. Xstrata's global sulfuric acid production exceeds 4 million tons annually.
